Eddie Lee (bass/vocal) – with a career spanning almost 3 decades as bassist, producer, composer and recording artist, Eddie has toured internationally and/or recorded with many of Ireland’s top artists, from singers like Frances Black & Brian Kennedy to rock bandsThose Nervous Animals and jazz acts David Lyttle, Louis Stewart, Richie Buckley, Mike Nielsen and Sandro Gibellini. Eddie is co-founder and administrator of Sligo Jazz Project’s annual summer school and festival. Eddie currently performs as bassist with Anything Goes, The Odd Couple, NoCrows, and The Odd Couple.
In 2013 Eddie was commissioned by the Hawk’s Well Theatre, Sligo to co-write a Suite of music with Northern Irish composer David Lyttle. The Barinthus Suite made its world premiere in July 2013 and featured a stellar line up including pianist Kenny Werner, saxophonist Jean Toussaint and piper Tyler Duncan.
Also in July 2013 Eddie performed, as a member of Dublin Gospel Choir, with legendary composer Ennio Morricione on his Dublin concerts.
In 2013 Eddie co-wrote and appeared in Anything Goes’ latest foray into the world of musical theatre, SHUT UP AND LISTEN, which played to standing ovations at the Hawk’s Well Theatre, Sligo. Eddie also starred in the 2010 musical theatre show An Evening with Sgt. Pepper. A regular orchestra player too, Eddie has been bassist for other musicals and shows including Grease, Hairspray, West Side Story, All Shook Up and Carousel.
Eddie also provides a DJ service for Anything Goes’ weddings and parties in addition to his musician roles, supplying a variety of playlists from world music & funk to wedding favorites.
